Autumn Fly Fishing the Broadlands Grayling Classic Part 2/2

The Broadlands Grayling Classic is in its 5th year a well established. I had worried that this was going to be cancelled like so many other competitions this year. Sadly there will be no Grayling Festival on the Welsh Dee this year. The competition itself was expertly run by Ben Bangham and his small team. Peoples safety was of the highest priority and there were QR codes when signing in to use with the NHS track and trace app. Anglers wore face masks around the administration area which was compulsory for all competing. The River Test is certainly a place worthy of anyones fly fishing bucket list and I can heartily recommend the Broadlands Estate. The keeper Jon Hall runs an excellent fishery and the scenery is picture perfect. I hope to convey a little of what it is like to fish in a competition on the river and the benefits of doing so. Wether you agree with competition fishing or not I would like to hear your opinions in the comments below. Royalty Free Music
